DETAILED AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS

Proper aftercare is essential to ensure your tattoo heals well and retains its vibrancy. Please follow the instructions below based on the type of covering you have received.

If You Have Received Cling Film:

1. Initial Covering: Leave the cling film on for approximately 3–4 hours following your tattoo procedure. If the tattooed area feels excessively hot or uncomfortable, you may remove the cling film earlier.

2. First Wash: Once the cling film is removed, take a shower and gently cleanse the tattoo using the designated aftercare product. If you have a small pot, use the top portion; if you have a large bottle, use the white pump.

3. Cleansing the Tattoo: Apply a small amount of the Croc Aftercare Cleanser to the tattooed area and gently rub it in circular motions to remove excess ink, plasma, and bacteria.

4. Rinsing: Use lukewarm water to rinse the area. Allow the water to naturally wash away the cleanser without scrubbing or applying excessive pressure.

5. Drying: Pat the tattoo dry using a clean, disposable paper towel or a fresh cloth. Avoid using rough towels, as they can introduce bacteria and cause irritation.

6. Air Exposure: Allow the tattoo to breathe for 2–3 hours before applying any aftercare products. This helps promote healing and prevents excessive moisture buildup.

7. Moisturizing: Once the tattoo has aired out, apply a thin, even layer of aftercare moisturizer across the entire tattooed area. Do not apply too much, as this can suffocate the skin and delay healing.

8. Ongoing Care: Moisturize the tattoo 3–4 times daily to keep the skin hydrated and promote proper healing.

If You Have Received Saniderm (Second Skin):

1. Duration: Leave the Saniderm (second skin) bandage on for a maximum of 6 days. However, if it begins to peel or lift, do your best to keep it on for at least 48 hours before removing it.

2. Removal Process: When it is time to remove the Saniderm, do so while in the shower to minimize discomfort and ease the process.

3. Peeling Technique: Gently peel the Saniderm away from the tattoo, pulling downward instead of outward for best results. This method helps prevent unnecessary irritation to the skin.

4. Cleansing the Tattoo: Once the bandage is removed, wash the tattoo thoroughly using the Croc Aftercare Cleanser (white pump). Apply the product gently over the entire tattooed area.

5. Rinsing: Rinse with lukewarm water, ensuring all cleanser and any excess ink or plasma are completely washed away.

6. Sticky Residue: If there is any adhesive residue left from the Saniderm, gently massage a small amount of baby oil onto the area. Continue rubbing lightly until the residue is fully removed.

7. Drying: Pat the tattoo dry using a clean paper towel or soft cloth. Avoid rubbing, as this can cause irritation.

8. Air Exposure: Allow the tattoo to breathe for a short period before applying moisturizer. 2–3 hours is recommended.

9. Moisturizing: Apply a thin layer of moisturizer 3–4 times daily to keep the skin hydrated and prevent excessive scabbing. Avoid over-moisturizing, as this can interfere with the healing process.

10. Temporary Discoloration: If the tattoo appears faded or discolored after removing the Saniderm, this is completely normal. The tattoo’s true vibrancy will return once you begin consistently moisturizing.

General Aftercare Tips for Both Methods:

• Avoid Submerging the Tattoo: Refrain from swimming, soaking in baths, or exposing the tattoo to excessive moisture for at least 2–3 weeks.

• Protect from Sun Exposure: Keep your tattoo out of direct sunlight. Once healed, apply high SPF sunscreen to prevent fading.

• Avoid Scratching or Picking: It is normal for the tattoo to scab and itch, but do not scratch, rub, or pick at it, as this can lead to scarring and uneven healing.

• Wear Loose Clothing: Avoid tight clothing that may rub against the tattoo and cause irritation.

By following these aftercare instructions carefully, you will ensure the best possible healing process and maintain the quality of your tattoo for years to come. If you experience any signs of infection (excessive redness, swelling, or unusual discharge), consult a healthcare professional promptly.
